The START Active Shooter Victim Deck provides a practical way to incorporate realistic patient scenarios into Rescue Task Force, TEMS, and mass casualty training exercises. The deck includes 32 oversized victim cards featuring a range of penetrating trauma injuries. Each card provides responders with patient information to assess injuries, determine treatment priorities, and make patient movement decisions during an exercise. The cards can be used throughout an active threat or MCI training scenario, from Rescue Task Force operations and patient extraction to the Casualty Collection Point, where patients can be triaged using the START triage method and prioritized for movement and transport.
