First responders are facing challenges never before imagined. The once unthinkable threat of radiological, biological or chemical contamination of our civilian population is now a reality. To successfully manage these incidents new strategies and tactics must be developed. The triage tag developed by Disaster Management Systems provides first responders with a tool to identify, process, and triage contaminated patients. The tag also provides rescue personnel with a means to tag and identify clothing and other personal property.

It should be emphasized that any hazardous materials release is a potential crime scene. Tagging of evidence in the form of clothing and personal effects will aid law enforcement in their investigation.

Why This Tag?

In 1997, the Bureau of Justice and FEMA, through the National Fire Academy developed and offered the "Emergency Response to Terrorism" training program. This program is offered to the men and women of our nations emergency service agencies. The development of the Disaster Management Systems' All Risk® Triage Tag was a direct result of that training. The DMS All Risk® Tag has evolved to stay abreast with the advances in First Responder Operational (FRO) training and funding.

As the threat to our nation and civilian population grows, the need for simple, effective, and inter-operable systems have become vital to our response planning and capabilities. "A system is defined as a unit of interrelated dependent parts or functions designed to achieve a common goal."

The DMS All Risk® Triage Tag utilizes START Triage, First Responder Operational Objectives, Mass Decontamination Procedures, Patient Care Criteria and Evidence Tagging into a simple yet effective tool.

Disaster Management Systems was established in 1996 in response to the alarming increase in multi-casualty incidents worldwide. All of the response tools and products created and produced by DMS fully support the Incident Command System. This command structure is set forth within the National Incident Management System (NIMS) in response to Homeland Security Presidential Directive 5.

All Risk Triage tags come packaged in a group of 50.
